TOKYO, AUGUST 9, 2005--The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., today announced that it has revised its forecasts for net income for the first half of fiscal 2006 (April 1 to September 30, 2005), as well as for the fiscal year as a whole (ending March 31, 2006). The changes reflect tax benefits realized in the first half resulting from a loss on the valuation of stocks of a consolidated North American subsidiary closed during the previous fiscal year.
