Selected for the "FTSE Blossom Japan Index" for 9 consecutive years

The FTSE Blossom Japan Index was established as an industry-neutral index that reflects the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong ESG practices. It is one of four general ESG indexes selected by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) to guide its ESG investments.

Selected for the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index" for 4 consecutive years

Since 2022, our company has been selected for the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index," one of four comprehensive indices used by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) for ESG investing.
This index reflects the performance of Japanese companies that excel in ESG practices within each sector, making it widely used in sustainable investing and assessments.

Received a "B" Score in CDP Climate Change and Water Security.

CDP is a global non-profit organization that aims to realize a sustainable economy by encouraging companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. It leverages investor and buyer power to motivate companies to disclose and manage their environmental impacts. CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognized as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency.
This marks the sixth time Yokohama Rubber has been named to the A list, and the third consecutive year.
We have received a "B" score from CDP for both "Climate Change" and "Water Security."

Achieved Highest Rating in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment

In the 2024 CDP disclosure cycle, we were selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA).
The CDP Supplier Engagement Rating assesses how effectively companies collaborate with their suppliers to address climate change. Our company received high recognition, especially in the areas of targets, Scope 3 emissions, value chain engagement, and our risk management processes.

BRONZE Rating on EcoVadis for Autoparts

EcoVadis (Headquarters: France) is an organization that provides buyers with sustainability assessments of suppliers through an information-sharing platform where buyers and suppliers from approximately 160 countries and 200 industries are registered. It evaluates corporate sustainability based on four assessment categories: “Environment,” “Labor & Human Rights,” “Ethics,” and “Sustainable Procurement.”

First-time recognition as "Prime" in the "ESG Corporate Rating" by ISS ESG

In 2024, Yokohama Rubber received its first "Prime" rating in the "ESG Corporate Rating" by ISS ESG, the responsible investment division of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a leading global provider of corporate governance and ESG research.
The "ESG Corporate Rating" evaluates a company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices through a double materiality lens. Companies that receive a comprehensive high rating within their respective industries are awarded a "Prime" rating. Yokohama Rubber was awarded this "Prime" rating within the "Automotive Parts" industry.

Selected for the SOMPO Sustainability Index for 14 consecutive years.

This index comprises approximately 300 companies that excel in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria and is used in "Sustainable Investment," an investment product adopted by multiple pension funds and institutional investors.
The index undergoes an annual review based on ESG evaluation results, and Yokohama Rubber has been selected for inclusion for 14 consecutive years, starting in 2012.

Selected as an "Environmentally Sustainable Company" in the ESG Finance Awards Japan for the second consecutive year

This award is hosted by the Ministry of the Environment with the aim of promoting and expanding ESG finance by recognizing and sharing the advanced initiatives of institutional investors, financial institutions, brokers, companies, etc. that are actively engaged in ESG finance or environmental and social projects and have made an impact.
We have been selected as an “environmentally sustainable company” that meets certain criteria for disclosure.
Since 2025, we have been selected as an "Environmentally Sustainable Company" for meeting specific criteria in disclosure quality.

Recognized with the highest honor at the “D&I AWARD,” which evaluates diversity and inclusion initiatives for two consecutive years

We have been recognized for the second consecutive year as a “Best Workplace,” the highest honor, in the “D&I AWARD 2025,” Japan's largest certification program evaluating companies committed to Diversity & Inclusion (D&I).
The “D&I AWARD” is a certification program operated by JobRainbow Inc. It evaluates participating companies based on a 100-item “Diversity Score,” with a particular focus on five key areas: “Gender Gap,” “LGBT,” “Disability,” “Multicultural Coexistence,” and “Childcare/Caregiving.”
The highest-rated “Best Workplaces” recognize D&I-leading companies that promote diversity and inclusion at a high standard not only in Japan but globally.
These companies are certified for fostering a corporate culture of D&I and for having employees who actively engage as individuals driving D&I initiatives.

Received the highest rating in the “PRIDE Index 2025,” which evaluates LGBTQ+ initiatives

We received the highest ‘Gold’ rating in the “PRIDE Index 2025,” which evaluates corporate for two consecutive years and organizational initiatives concerning sexual minorities such as LGBTQ+※1.
The “PRIDE Index” is Japan's first workplace evaluation framework for LGBTQ+ initiatives, established in 2016 by the general incorporated association “work with Pride”※2 to help create workplaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive.
  • 1 An acronym combining the first letters of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning. The “+” signifies that there are various sexualities beyond these, and it is used as a general term for sexual minorities.
  • 2 An organization supporting the promotion and establishment of diversity management concerning LGBTQ+ and other sexual minorities within companies and other groups. Incorporated in 2023.

Certified as "Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2026 (Large Enterprise Category)"

Under the "Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program," jointly conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi, we have been certified as a "Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2026 (Large Enterprise Category)."
The Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program is a system designed by METI to recognize corporations, including large enterprises and SMEs, that practice particularly excellent health and productivity management. This recognition is based on their efforts to address regional health issues and their commitment to health promotion initiatives advocated by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

Certified as a “DX Certified Business Operator” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

We have obtained certification as a “DX Certified Business Operator” under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's DX (Digital Transformation) certification system.
The DX Certification System, based on the “Act on Promotion of Information Processing,” certifies companies that meet the fundamental requirements of the “Digital Governance Code” established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and are prepared for digital transformation, including vision formulation and the establishment of strategies and organizational structures.
