Tokyo – The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., today announced that #13 ADVAN Courage in the LMP1 Class set the third-fastest aggregate time at the June 5 Test Day at the Sarthe Circuit in France for teams that will compete in the 73rd 24 Hours of Le Mans.

For Test Day, the organizers close the public roads that comprise the circuit used for the Le Mans race. The day is a unique opportunity for competing teams to finalize their race settings. The highly experienced Jonathon Cochet posted the third-fastest time of 3 min 37.674 secs in his ADVAN Courage. This was despite refraining from taking his car to the edge and having an engine displacement 1,000cc smaller than that of the Pescarolo team, which set the fastest time. For this year's Test Day, Courage Competition took full advantage of its two cars to generate data from an array of assessments, including long-run tests and tire setting modifications. The team will use the data to optimize the setups of its cars for race day.

In the GT Class, in which Yokohama is supporting three vehicles, the #71 Alex Job Racing/BAM Porsche 911GT3R registered the fourth-fastest time.
