The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., will participate in the 2005 Offshore Technology Conference, which runs from May 2 through 4 at the Reliant Center in Houston, Texas. This is the world's largest event of its type. The company will exhibit its new GLOBUOY series of buoys for offshore oil fields and ships and present the technologies in its IAMOS (for Integrated Approach Mooring and Operation Simulation) system.

Yokohama will also show its Seaflex series of marine hoses. They will include Seaflex FL, which incorporates solar-power flashing lights to prevent nighttime vessel collisions, and a double-carcass hose with a built-in oil detector that helps prevent marine pollution. Another highlight will be the ISO 17357-rated pneumatic fender materials, which have won top marks for their impact strength and durability.

The annual Offshore Technology Conference is a showcase for technologies and products for marine oil and gas development and exploration. An estimated 2,000 exhibitors from 110 countries will participate this year. The show is a unique opportunity to market to the many top executives who will attend this world-class event.
