On May 15, 2003, the Board of Directors of The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., agreed to promote four people within the Board and proposed three people as new Board candidates. These candidates are subject to approval by the General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on June 27, 2003. Other changes in directorship, including resignations, will also become effective on the same day.
