Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced that the company's ADVAN Sport (V103S) tire has been approved by the Dr. Ing. h.c F. Porsche AG as one of the Original Equipment tires for the new 911 Carrera 4. It is the latest addition to Yokohama's ADVAN Sport flagship series. The tire sizes to be supplied are 235/40ZR18 (91Y) for the front and 295/35ZR18 (99Y) for the rear. The new 911 Carrera 4 will be the eighth Porsche model since 1989 to run with factory-fitted Yokohama high-performance tires.

The Japanese tire manufacturer is proud to have met the high technical standards in the process of development with the Porsche AG. It is a supreme honour for every tire manufacturer to gain the "N-0" marking on the tire sidewall indicating Porsche's approval. The ADVAN Sport range perfectly balances high-speed stability, comfort, handling and braking in wet and dry conditions. In October last year, Bentley Motors also adopted the ADVAN Sport (V103) as a 20-inch tire for its Continental GT and Flying Spur.
