Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that teams running on Yokohama Rubber’s global flagship ADVAN brand tires dominated the winners’ podium for the GT300 class race in Round 7 of the 2025 AUTOBACS SUPER GT Series, Japan’s ultimate GT (Grand Touring) car racing series. Round 7 was a three-hour race held on October 18-19 at the AUTOPOLIS Circuit in Oita Prefecture. The victory is the fourth this season in the GT300 class for a car fitted with ADVAN tires. In November’s final round, Yokohama Rubber will again support a number of teams with its high-performance ADVAN tires and looks forward to winning a second consecutive series championship in the GT300 class this year.

The GT300 class winning car in Round 7 was seven × seven Racing's No. 666 seven × seven PORSCHE GT3R, driven by Harry King, Kiyoto Fujinami, and Tsubasa Kondo. The race’s early stages saw two other cars racing on ADVAN tires—the eventual 2nd place finisher CARGUY MKS RACING's No. 7 CARGUY FERRARI 296 GT3, driven by Zak O'Sullivan, Rikuto Kobayashi, and Keita Sawa and 3rd place finisher JLOC's No. 0 VENTENY Lamborghini GT3, driven by Takashi Kogure and Yuya Motojima—battle for the lead. However, No. 666 seven × seven PORSCHE GT3R moved up steadily throughout a rather tumultuous race that saw the introduction of safety cars and drive-through penalties. It eventually took the lead and received the checkered flag for a come-from-behind win and the first SUPER GT victory for seven × seven Racing. In a three-hour race where tire management can determine victory or defeat, the podium was monopolized by three teams that benefitted from the high performance of Yokohama Rubber’s ADVAN racing tires.

In addition, 4th place KONDO RACING's No. 56 REALIZE NISSAN MECHANIC CHALLENGE GT-R (drivers: Joao Paulo de Oliveira and Kohei Hirate) and 5th place VELOREX's No. 6 UNI-ROBO BLUEGRASS FERRARI (drivers: Yoshiaki Katayama and Roberto Merhi Muntan) also were fitted with ADVAN tires. The overwhelming strength of Yokohama tires was clearly displayed in Round 7 of the SUPER GT, with the top five finishers in the GT300 class all supported by Yokohama Rubber.

The consumer tire strategy in Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires by expanding sales of YOKOHAMA’s global flagship ADVAN brand, the GEOLANDAR brand of tires for SUVs and pickup trucks, winter tires, and 18-inch and larger tires. Yokohama Rubber positions participation in motorsports activities as crucial to its effort to further strengthen the ADVAN and GEOLANDAR brands. Yokohama Rubber therefore is again participating in a wide variety of motorsports events around the globe, from top-category to grassroots events.
