Message from the President
Dhananjay Bisht
Yokohama Tire Vietnam is a manufacturing company based in an industrial park in Binh Doung Province, north of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. (In 2024, the sales department was spun off to become a purely manufacturing company.)
The product types we produce are PCB, LTB, ID, and bias tires for two-wheelers.
For the time being, we are continuing to work on expanding our product lineup of industrial tires (ID, OR) for export to Japan and two-wheeler tires, for which demand is expected to remain large and stable within Vietnam.
As Company Policy
☆ Safety comes first
☆ MARKET & CUSTOMER FIRST
We would like to produce and supply products that customers can use with peace of mind in a safe and secure workplace, and also actively engage in social contribution activities in Vietnam.
Organizational Governance
Based on the company’s policies and standards, employee education regarding legal compliance is regularly conducted, and we continue to work to improve employee awareness of such compliance issues.
We are continuing to revise the arrangements for approval authority and approval routes to make them easier to operate in line with actual operations.
We are reviewing our meeting structure so that it is possible to share information and make decisions based on rank, while remaining aware of efficient, local member-driven operations.
Human Rights
In 2023, for both International Women's Day in March and Vietnam Women's Day in October, the company provided souvenirs and the labor union Planned and implemented dinner parties.
Labor Practices
Complaints and requests from employees
Labor-management council meetings, which have traditionally been held, are held quarterly to gather opinions, complaints, and requests from workers.
We also continued to collect opinions and conduct improvement activities through the use of opinion boxes and daily communication in order to strengthen the relationship and trust between labor and management.
Communication with employees
We held an end-of-year party in January, a soccer tournament in May, and a company trip in June.
Education and training for employees
We have designated the first day of each month as "Green Day" to raise environmental awareness through education on cleaning up inside the factory buildings and outdoor grounds and separating waste.
In 2023, we conducted quality fraud prevention education by the Quality Assurance Department in October and compliance education by the Human Resources Department in September for all employees.
In addition, as a part of the education on the prevention of occupational accidents, we have set up a sensory training center, where employees can experience actual hazards through simulation education, thereby raising their awareness of safety.
Responses in case of disaster
We invite firefighters from the VSIP industrial park where our production base is located to conduct systematic fire and disaster response training, and in 2023 we will also conduct training using fire engines.
All employees are required to participate at least once a year. From fiscal 2020, we have also been conducting practical training in the use of fire extinguishers for all employees. From 2022, we will also continue to conduct nighttime evacuation drills.

Gender equality
We are promoting women’s management positions (at the rank of General Manager, etc.). Of the ten such positions within the company, three are occupied by women.
The Environment
We designate the first day of each month as "Green Day" and aim to raise environmental awareness through cleaning of factory buildings and outdoor premises and waste sorting education. In addition to educational and training activities, we also collect old clothes and reuse them as rags.
We are also actively working to reduce energy consumption, industrial waste and greenhouse gas emissions, and provide on-site follow-up on environmental/energy-saving activities and regular audits of industrial waste disposal companies.
As an external activity, we donate seedlings to schools and have employees and students plant trees. In a biodiversity conservation project with a government agency, we conducted a survey in the Can Gio Biological Reserve in 2023.
