【2021 Nürburgring 24 Hours / Nürburgring】

The final qualifying session before the Top Qualifying is over. The session lasted for 60 minutes and was held under slippery conditions with very light rain showers, but the cars were all equipped with slicks – it wasn´t wet enough for rain tyres.. Because of the light rain, it was a roulette game for the drivers on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

The german race legend Jörg Müller drive two different Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 with Yokohama tyres in the 2021 edition of the 24h Race. How difficult is it for Müller to switch between the different cars? „Between the two cars are only minimal differences in the setup. It´s no big deal for me to switch between the cars and be quick immediately.“

The Walkenhorst M6 from Mario von Bohlen, Sami-Matti Trogen, Kuba Giermaziak and Jörg Müller endet the session in 7th position.

Car #101 from Müller, Ben Tuck, David Pittard and Christian Krognes drove on the 16th position.

In the SP10-class the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 with the drivers Cameron Evans, Lance Boicelli, David Thilenius and Charlie Postins endet the session on 5th position. The car will start the race from this position aswell.

Yokohama enginieer Mark Williams: „This session was really tricky for us. The track was really slippery and dryed to the end. The pace was good! But we must see how the wheather develops to the Top Qualifying. Here at the Nürburgring is anything posible.“

The next session will be the Top Qualifying. Walkenhorst Motorsport team manager thinks, that it´ll be raining before the session. „We doesn´t want to have a night shift before the race tomorrow, so we don´t risk the car in Top Qualifying 1. When the session will be dry, we have a good feeling, when we run this session on Yokohama rain tyres, we must see how good our pace is.“
