2021 Nürburgring 24 Hours REPORT 3 – 18h to go

【2021 Nürburgring 24 Hours / Nürburgring】

After rain and a dry part – the 24h race at the Nürburgring is now dominated by the fog! At a few corners the race is under code 60 because of that!

Walkenhorst Motorsport team manager Niclas Königbauer doesn´t think, that a red flag is needed. “I think, we can race under this circumstances! A red flag isn´t needed now. A problem for our slick tyres from Yokohama can be, that the track become greasy because of the humidity in the air.”

Yokohama engineer Mark Williams think as well, that a red flag isn´t needed. “The Track is dry and our cars driving fantastic lap times. A bit tricky is the humidity in the air, so the corners are partially very slippery and this changes from lap to lap.”
