The 49th edition oft he 24h of the Nürburgring is history! Yokohama had a difficult race, but the cars showed their speed!

„Our cars showed their speed in the race in dry conditions“, confirmed Yokohama engineer Mark Williams. „We had many purple sectors and a few times the fastest lap of the race. But the race was a gamble with the wheather and weh ad a bit bad luck at the beginning.“

Walkenhorst Motorsport teammanager Niclas Königbauer: „We´re a bit frustrated with the result. Car #101 had the pace for a Top 5 finish, but after a the accident in the first hour we had no chance. Overall our pace was great!“

The best Yokohama car in the end was the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 from Mario von Bohlen, Sami-Matti Trogen, Kuba Giermaziak and Jörg Müller. The Car endet the race in position 12. At the Saturday the car held the fastest lap of the race.

Drama in the early stages of the race had the M6 from Christian Krognes, Ben Tuck, David Pittard and Jörg Müller, who drive on two cars. David Pittard crashed after a few laps at Adenauer Forst. After a great repair job the car endet the race on position 15.

The third Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 from Teamowner Henry Walkenhorst, Friedrich von Bohlen, Jörg Breuer and Andreas Ziegler endet the race in position 24 in class (position 51 overall)

Position five in SP10-class for the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 from Cameron Evans, Lance Boicelli, David Thilenius and Charlie Postins.

Position five in SP3-class fort he legendary Opel Manta with the foxtail. Olaf Beckmann, Peter Hass, Volker Strycek and Jürgen Schulten drive the car. The team also trust in the quality of Yokohama. Their race was hindered after a collision with a faster GT3-car.

„2022 with the new BMW M4 GT3 we will again attack the victory at the 24h oft he Nürburgring! We will do everything we can to achieve this goal“ told Königbauer after the race. Yokohama engineer Mark Williams confirms this statement and is already looking forward to the task.
