Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that it will participate in MINExpo International 2012 - the world's largest mining equipment exhibition - to be held September 24 through 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. YOKOHAMA will display a total of 17 models of Off-The-Road (OTR) large-size radial tires for mining and construction vehicles, along with an array of conveyor belts, endeavoring to increase its presence in the mineral resources development market, which is growing around the world.

OTR tire displays will include two debut products - the "RL45" and "RL51" - and feature as the main attraction a new size of the "RB42" radial tire for rigid dump trucks. With increased overall wear and cut resistance and traction, the "RB42" is designed to respond on a wide range of surfaces, from soft or loose surfaces such as mud and sand, to rough surfaces comprised of gravel and rocks. The "RL45" is a radial tire for articulated dump trucks and wheel loaders working at mining and construction sites. It features improved side-cut resistance, durability and stability. The "RL51" is radial tire for wheel loaders used at mining and construction sites. In addition to side-cut resistance, the model boasts superior traction and tread life.

Not only vehicles but conveyer belts are integral to the continual transport of extracted materials at mining sites. YOKOHAMA's conveyer belt lineup for varied applications is widely used around the world. At MINExpo, the "PROTEX" belt with better cut and shock resistance, the energy-saving "ECOTEX" belt and others will be shown, and their superiority for various uses will be highlighted.

MINExpo is held every four years. This year's will be on a record scale, with 1,800 companies and organizations expected to exhibit at the 850,000 square-feet site. In 2008, about 110,000 people, including top executives of mining and mine-construction companies around the world, came to the event.
