Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that its "ADVAN S.T. MO" tires for next generation SUVs - part of its global flagship ADVAN series - has been selected as original equipment for the new "G 63 AMG" and "G 65 AMG" models in the new generation Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Tire size for the new AMG models is 275/50R20 113W.

"ADVAN S.T. MO" was developed jointly by Yokohama Rubber and Daimler, and the "MO" mark on the side of each tire signifies approval by Daimler. The "ADVAN S.T.", from which the new tire was created, delivers high-performance at top speeds in the W range (270 km/h) as well as outstanding performance on wet and dry surfaces, resulting in true sport performance from an SUV tire.

Standard models in the new G-Class are again equipped with "GEOLANDAR H/T G038" on-road SUV tires. Highly evaluated both for their basic off-road performance and high-level of on-road performance, "GEOLANDAR H/T G038" have been standard equipment for more than ten years. Tire size is 265/60R18 110V.

In addition to the G-Class, a wide range of Mercedes-Benz models are factory-equipped with Yokohama tires, including the CL-Class AMG, ML-Class AMG, E-Class Coupe, C-Class, C-Class AMG, CLS-Class, SLK-Class, B-Class, A-Class and SL-Class.
