On May 23, 2002, the Board of Directors of The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. agreed to promote six people within the Board and appointed five people as new Board Director candidates. These candidates are subject to approval by the General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on June 27, 2002. Other changes in directorship including resignation will also become effective on the same day.
