Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., has announced that it will supply original-equipment tires for the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, sold in North America, and the Chrysler Grand Voyager sold in markets around the world. This will be the first time for Yokohama to supply tires to Chrysler LLC - which established the minivan category 23 years ago. The sizes of the tires approved for all-season use in North America will be 225/65R16 100S AVID S33B and AVID C33B. On vehicles to be exported, 225/65R16 100H and 225/65R17 102H ASPEC A349A summer tires will be fitted.

Yokohama Rubber will deliver four sizes of tires which will be manufactured at Yokohama Tire Philippines, INC. (YTPI), Yokohama's production base for exported passenger car tires, and delivered to Chrysler from Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC), Yokohama's subsidiary in the United States.

Yokohama Rubber has been expanding its global original equipment (OE) business toward realizing the vision articulated in its long-term management plan, "GD100" (Grand Design 100): "evoking a distinctive global identity in building corporate value and in building a strong market presence" by the year of 2017.
