Tokyo—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., will participate in the Paris Motor Show (Paris Mondial de l'automobile 2002) to be held from September 28 (Saturday) through October 13 (Sunday) in the capital city of France. At the show, Yokohama Rubber will emphasize high performance capabilities of its tires by exhibiting A.V.S series tires that are on sale in Europe and other markets.

At its stand, Yokohama Rubber will show four types of A.V.S series tires: three passenger car tires and a four-wheel drive cars tire. The passenger car tires are: A.V.S dB that has been selling in Europe since last February; A.V.S Sport used as original equipment for Boxster and Boxster S from Porsche, V12 Vanquish and DB7 Vantage from Aston Martin, and other eminent sports cars in the world; and A.V.S Winter line tires including those with V-range sizes for running at up to 240km/h. A.V.S S/T type-1 is a tire for four-wheel drive cars and used for BRABUS MV12 from BRABUS GmbH, a distinguished tuning company in Germany.

Paris Motor Show is the world's oldest motor show with its history dating back to 1884. It is held every other year alternately with Frankfurt International Motor Show of Germany. In 2000, the show exhibited products from approximately 700 companies including 40 automakers from 30 countries and attracted over 1.4 million visitors.
