Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced today that it is supplying its ADVAN Sport ZPS (Zero Pressure System) tires as original equipment (OE) to Toyota Motor Corporation for use on the automaker’s new compact sports car GR Yaris, sales of which were launched in the Middle East in December 2025. The tire size is 225/40RF18 88Y.

The ADVAN Sport ZPS is based on the ADVAN Sport, which is the high-performance tire in Yokohama Rubber’s global flagship tire brand ADVAN. It is a run-flat tire, which has reinforced sidewalls so that the tire can support the vehicle even if it is deflated (in the zero pressure), such as due to a puncture. It offers a high level balance between maneuverability at ultra-high speed, wet performance, quietness, and comfort.

Yokohama Rubber tires have a track record of being installed on several models in Toyota’s GR sports car brand lineup. In recent years, the ADVAN APEX V601 has been supplied for the GR Corolla, and the ADVAN FLEVA V701 has been supplied for the Corolla Cross GR Sport.

Under Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), the consumer tire business aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires. One of the key initiatives under this strategy is promoting the global flagship ADVAN brand tires and the GEOLANDAR brand tires for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment for new cars.
