Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., provides the BMW Group with ADVAN Sport V107 tires for use as original equipment (OE) on the 7 Series luxury sedan. Yokohama Rubber is supplying 255/45R20 105Y size front tires and 285/40R20 108Y size rear tires, or 245/50R19 105Y size front and rear tires. These tires are also fitted to the BMW i7, the first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model in the 7 Series.

The ADVAN Sport V107 is an ultra-high performance tire in YOKOHAMA’s global flagship ADVAN brand. The supplied tires were jointly developed with the BMW Group and feature a specially developed compound and an optimized tread pattern to achieve excellent steering stability and a quiet ride. The tires also have received the EU labeling system’s highest "A" grade for rolling resistance. The application of Yokohama Rubber’s mound profile technology, which evenly distributes surface contact pressure, also contributes to the achievement of the tires’ enhanced dry performance and wear resistance. In addition, the optimized tire structure helps deliver the excellent steering stability that is essential for high-power premium cars. As the tires supplied by one of the select few tire makers for BMW models, the tire’s sidewall bears the German automaker’s star mark indicating its recognition of the tire maker’s technology, quality, and reliability.

Under Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), the consumer tire business aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires. One of the key initiatives under this strategy is promoting the global flagship ADVAN brand tires and the GEOLANDAR brand tires for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment for new cars.
