Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that its ADVAN Sport tire, for super sports cars, in its global flagship brand "ADVAN" line, will be fitted as original equipment on the Audi Q7, a large, high-performance SUV. The tire was selected for its high level of overall performance – proven stability and comfort at high speeds (300 kph and above), as well as excellent braking. Two sizes of tire will be available for both front and rear, 275/45R20 110Y or 265/50R19 110Y. The Audi Q7 is the third Audi model to have Yokohama tires fitted as original equipment, joining the S6 and S8 in Audi's top-class S series.

As Yokohama's flagship brand integrating all of its top tire technologies, "ADVAN" has been promoted around the world since 2005. Its high performance and quality have been internationally recognized and it comes as standard equipment on many of the world's leading high-performance vehicles, including the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and Mercedes-Benz's AMG series. In the motor sports field, ADVAN has been designated the control tire for the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) since 2006 – a selection already extended at least through 2009.

The Audi Q7 is the first full-size, luxury SUV from Audi, a fulltime 4WD model with a total length in excess of 5 meters. It offers the on-road performance of a sports car while performing equally well off-road. There are five engine options: 6.0-liter V12, 4.2-liter V8 and 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines, and 4.2-liter V8 and 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engines.
